On Oct 31st – All Hallows' Eve, an auspicious date in the Western calendar to celebrate the dead, I fulfilled the destiny of Dear Ursula. We began the contemplative session by collectively chanting a prayer before sending our letters into the fire-induced celestial post box. Soon the paper replicas of Dear Ursula lit up as they were ritualistically burnt in an attempt to connect me to the past, present, and future, a gesture that I have come to understand as spectral publishing. As such, I had designed the paper replicas as double-sided A2 posters that also fold into a zine, making the work available to mortal and immortal audiences alike.
